Janice is a Spuzzum Band member and was elected as a Council member in June 2024. She lived, worked and played in the Sechelt Nation and gained a strong background in public governance during her time as a City Council Member for the District of Sechelt.
Janice now resides in the city of Chilliwack, BC. Janice currently holds the Economic Development, Health, Culture & Heritage & Elder community portfolios.
She graduated from the UCFV with an Associate of Science diploma in Chemistry / Biology and has 1 daughter.

Diana is Council's lead in Education, working collaboratively with the Spuzzum First Nation Education Dept. to help students on their educational journey. She is a Director on the First Nation Education Steering Committee. Diana took the training and became an Indian Registration Administrator in 2015. Diana holds the portfolio of Children and Family and in this role meets with Ministry of Children and Family (MCFD) and Fraser Valley Aboriginal Children and Family Service Society (FVACFSS) also known as Xyolhemeylh (Independant Delegated Agency). Diana has two daughters and two granddaughters
